What is SIAMS?  The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools looks into how church schools are theologically rooted with a Christian vision which drives the ethos of the school.  Inspectors spend a full day with staff, governors and pupils observing how effective the provision is to ensure that pupils flourish based on the Christian values.  Duxford School is looking forward to welcoming the Inspector and showcasing the ethos of the school to 'Encourage one another and build up one another' 1 Thessolonians 5:11.

Electoral Roll for the APCM - it is coming up to that time of year when the electoral roll is reviewed in preparation for the APCM for each of our churches.  If you are not on the roll but would like to be, please keep an eye out for notifications in the next few weeks.
The dates for our APCMs are:
DUXFORD: Sunday 28 April 11.30am (after the Sunday Service)
HINXTON:  Thursday 2 May 7.30pm in the church
ICKLETON: Tuesday 21 May 7.30pm in the church
These are open meetings and all are welcome to attend.

Rogation Sunday Our very popular Rogation walk will return this year on Sunday 12 May with a slight change as we start from Ickleton and walk via Hinxton to Duxford.  There will be coffee and pastries in Ickleton at 10am and we will end with picnic lunch at Duxford.  Please see the flyer below for more information.

Choral Evensong at Jesus College.  We are invited to Choral Evensong at Jesus College on 28 May.  Prior to Choral Evensong beginning at 6.30pm, there will be a reception held in the Prioress's Room in the College Cloisters from 5.15pm for tea and light refreshments.  It would be helpful if you could let Lydia or Linda Russell know if you plan to attend.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

aaron-burden-AvqpdLRjABs-unspl
Here's what to expect if you're coming to Church on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at one of our three Churches (details here) for our main Sunday Service, which starts at 10am.

We usually serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Duxford and Ickleton Churches have a toilet.

Children are more than welcome to all of our 10am services, however the services on the first and second Sunday of the month in Ickleton are more children orientated.
