EXTRA

Threads through Creation.  You remember Mary recommended visiting this exhibition whilst it was on tour last year.  If you missed it you have another opportunity as it is coming to Ely cathedral from 14th June to 23rd July.  From the website:  Threads through Creation is a spectaular sequence of 12 huge textile panels.  It’s an exuberant retelling of the creation story in the book of Genesis, a retelling which many visitors will find both moving and breathtaking.  www.jacqui-textile.com

Cogwheel Cambridge Stride Sunday 7 May.  Cogwheel Counselling is a Cambridge-based registered charity that provides counselling services in Cambridgeshire to individuals of all ages: children, teenagers, young adults, adults and the elderly. The service includes supported affordable provision for those on lower and limited incomes.  The Stride is a 27-mile self-guided walk around the perimeter of Cambridge, with shorter options of 13 and 6 miles for walkers and runners. The Stride uses the historic River Cam as the spine of the walk, with Grantchester Meadows as its most southerly point before it rejoins the Cam past Stourbridge Common on the northern part of the route. The Stride passes through a number of charming Cambridgeshire villages.  For registration and more information go to https://www.cogwheelcambridgestride.org.uk/

Getting creative!  This week a few children at the school met to start on a covering for the assembly table.  Due to the re-build the whole school have not been able to gather together, so in preparation we are making a cover based on the idea of our churches altar frontals.  If anyone has some off-cuts of purple, white, gold or red fabric it would be really appreciated.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

aaron-burden-AvqpdLRjABs-unspl
Here's what to expect if you're coming to Church on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at one of our three Churches (details here) for our main Sunday Service, which starts at 10am.

We usually serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Duxford and Ickleton Churches have a toilet.

Children are more than welcome to all of our 10am services, however the services on the first and second Sunday of the month in Ickleton are more children orientated.
