If you are between 9 and 13 your local churches would love you to join us at Hinxton village hall 6.00-7.30pm Sunday May 14th
Over the next few months we’ll be finding out what cutlery has got to do with talking to God and looking at questions like does God hear us when we pray and what to do if our prayers don’t get answered, using our usual mix of fun, games, clips and chat. Together, we’ll explore why, how and where we can pray…all with the help of a teaspoon BRING A FAVOURITE FOOD TO SHARE
con·nect /kəˈnekt/ verb Bring together or into contact so that a real or notional link is established
CONNECT is a new monthly service seeking to do just that… Connect! to bring people (aged 9+) from all over South Cambridgeshire together, along with their families, to establish real connections with each other…and with God!
Launching on April 23rd, CONNECT is a new initiative brought about with the help of a small group of clergy, youth workers and volunteers who all want to see God’s Word brought to life through engaging music, activities, drama, games, speakers and prayer.
Over the coming months we will be looking at some of the stories Jesus told, hoping to unravel four of his parables and exploring together what these well-known – and sometimes not so well-known – stories can really mean to us today.
We will be meeting at St Andrew in Stapleford on the 4th Sunday of each month from 5.30pm, where there’ll be an informal, interactive service followed by a time of food and fellowship all together. The dates for your diary are: 23rd April, 28th May, 25th June and 23rd July – so be sure not to miss out!
This really does promise to be a fantastic gathering that we hope you can be a part of it too: it would be great if young volunteers from each parish could help .. maybe hand out books, make the drinks or play in the band. So invite your friends, invite your family and let’s join together.
